Fantasmagoria - My Hunger

Fantasmagoria was a short lived thrash/death band that only ever recorded one song, which was released as the My Hunger demo tape in 1988.
Mike Teal handled bass on this demo, but otherwise played guitar for Fantasmagoria.  Here's a brief synopsis of the band from his point of view:

So, Fantasmagoria was a band that was started by James Smith, Kendall Seeman, Jon Englehart, and myself a few months before I started playing drums in Machine, we were introduced by Mark Murphy (AKA Frankie Delmane)  of Dead Conspiracy back in 1987.  They all were jamming together in a band out in Lake Oswego called Osiris, and were looking for a 2nd guitarist.  I showed up with a bunch of thrash riffs and hyperactive ideas and they loved me immediately, I insisted we change the name to something more death metal sounding, and we started playing Slayer, Metallica, Exodus, Motorhead, AC/DC covers, along with a bunch of original stuff.  After a few months we got together a pretty long set of originals, all thrash metal inspired stuff with a bit of melodic progressive metal sounding songs, we played a single live show with Dead Conspiracy and Savior out at the Uhaul place they practiced in out in Gresham, then I quit in the recording studio while we were recording the follow up demo to My Hunger.  James ended up as the vocalist for Savior later on, and I think Kendall and Jon had a band going together after Fantasmagoria.  It was my first REAL band that played live AND recorded, I was 17.
